X -- SINGLE ROOM HOTEL ACCOMMODATIONS SOL S-OPRAQ-97-R-0032 DUE 040197 POC Camille C. Battle Contracting Officer . The U.S. Department of State, Bureau of Diplomatic Security, needs approximately 275 daily single hotel room accommodations for security agents during the United Nations General Assembly sessions, to be held September 10, 1997 through October 6, 1997 in mid-town New York. The agents will be arriving and departing on variable schedules during the above stated time frame. The facility shall be located in Manhattan, no further south than 36th Street, no further north than 54th Street, and no further west than Fifth Avenue. The preferred arrangement is that all rooms be in a single facility. However, the government reserves the right to make award to an offeror providing accommodations in multiple facilities, or to make multiple awards based on blocks of not less than 50 guest rooms. The Contractor shall furnish rooms and facilities which meet minimum usual and customary business class hotel standards. Emphasis will be placed on a minimum space requirement of 200 square feetfor each guest room, excluding bath and closet. A site visit will be conducted by the COR and/or Department of State technical representatives prior to award of the contract for those offerors considered technically qualified. The Government intends to award a contract for one base year and five additional option years. The resultant contract will be negotiated, indefinite delivery type of contract.
