The contract resulting from this solicitation will include various Construction/Manufacturing of Pre-Engineered Modular Postal Building projects at Postal owned and leased facilities within Maryland, District of Columbia, and No. Virginia Area. At the discretion of the Contracting Officer, one or more contracts may be awarded. Contractors must have a minimum of two (2) years experience as of the date of issue in general construction work. Contractors must also possess the capabilities of working at least three to five jobs at the same time. Manufacturer's plant must be physically located within Maryland, Washington, DC or Virginia. The Manufacturer will provide all labor, materials, facility and equipment to perform the work as described and specified in the contract documents, including the drawings, specifications and scope of work. The work will include the fabrication, delivery and placement of a variety of sized modulars as listed below. Delivery will be limited to Northern Virginia, Washington, DC and the state of Maryland. This contract is to be an indefinite quantity contract for a period of two (2) years, with a minimum of five (5) modulars, and a maximum contract value of $1,000,000.00. Orders will be placed on an as needed basis as determined by the Postal Service. Specific Work Order/s will be issued by the Contracting Officer in accordance with the Unit Price Schedule and Specifications. The initial limit of $250,000.00 may be increased by modification as agreed upon by the Contractor and the Contracting Officer up to the maximum of $1,000,000.00. The Postal Service guarantees no specific number of Work Orders nor a specific amount other than the minimum of five (5) modulars set out above. Offerors will be required to submit "Dollar Amounts" based on the size of the modular buildings. The Dollar Amounts must contain the Offeror's overhead, profit, bonds, insurance and all other contingencies. No allowance for such items will be made after contract award. Offers are due by 2:00 PM on March 20, 1997. Plans and Specifications will be available on or about February 18, 1997 at $50.00 per set, Non-Refundable, referencing Solicitation #232092-97-A-0009.
