63 -- REMOTE GUARD SECURITY ANNUNCIATION, DISPLAY & CONTROL SYS, USCT, SPOKANE, WA POC Contracting Officer, Donna Hutchens (206) 931-7355 fax (206) 931-7143 The General Services Administration, Public Building Service, Facilities Services (10PMM), Auburn, Washington, intends to issue on a Sole Source basis a Purchase Order for a remote guard security annunciation and control system to CISCOR. Electronic surveillance equipment and parts are to set up a remote-monitoring security system that will enable security guards to communicate at all times with the security control center by means of a closed-circuitry television system. Portable monitoring systems will be carried by guards on duty to enable them to focus in on security situations in any part of the building as well as around the premises of the building at any time. GSA's minimum requirement is to provide maximum assurance of a safe and healthy workplace for the federal courthouse. CISCOR appears to be the only manufacturer of this type of closed-circuitry security system currently available on the market. GSA's needs most effectively can be satisfied only by contracting with CISCOR for the required services. See numbered Note 22. (0049)
