The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD), has a requirement for maintenance of the computer system hardware and operating system software and firmware on which its Office Automation and Management Information Systems (OA & MIS) application software resides. The OA & MIS hardware configuration consists of Computer Consoles Incorporated (CCI) POWER 6/32 and POWER 6/32X computers networked together via Ethernet. The POWER 6/32 computers utilize a CCI modified version of the Berkeley 4.2BSD UNIX operating system. The POWER 6/32X computers utilize a CCI modified version of the Berkeley 4.2BSD UNIX operating system as the kernel with a UNIX System V user interface. All computers utilize TCP/IP for host-to-host communications. The application software consists of CCI's OFFICEPOWER Version 3.03 office automation software, Unify database software, and Oracle software, tools and applications. Operating system software maintenance, preventive and remedial maintenance on the hardware isalso required. The Primary Period of Maintenance (PPM) for the equipment is 8:00 a.m. through 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding Federal Holidays observed at NSWCDD. Required response time during the PPM is four hours. Response time for maintenance at other times is six hours. The anticipated contract will be for a base period of one year and an option period of one year. Solicitation N00178-97-R-3043 will be issued on or about 5 March 1997.
