Schwaberow, Contracting Officer, 415-329-4171 The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) Menlo Park, California, intends to place on a sole-source basis, a purchase order with University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA), Facilities Management in Los Angeles, California. This is for installation of cable to monitors and mounting of four recorders and preparing steel beam, attaching pre-drilled plates, re-fireproofing and repair of any damage to walls and ceilings. This is related to the seismic instrumentation of the 17 story Health Sciences (Factor) building at UCLA campus. The UCLA Facilities Personnel will accomplish this work due to very sensitive research involving dangerous viruses and bactera. Some rooms are clean rooms which require special insulation and ventilation systems during any work in or near those rooms. No RFQ will be issued for this solicitation. (0050)
