is a combined synopsis/Request For Quotes for commercial items
prepared in accordance with the format at FAR 12.6 as supplemented with
additional information combined in this notice. The procurement will be
a small business set-aside. This announcement constitutes the only
Request For Quotation. A written request for quotation will not be
issued. The request for quote number is M00243-97Q-0594. The RFQ
incorporates provisions and clauses as those in effect through Federal
Acquisition Regulations, Part 12. The SIC code is 3699. The small
business size standard is 750 employees. The successful contractor
shall provide delivery, FOB destination to Marine Corps Recruit Depot,
Freight Receiving, Bldg. 149, TMO, San Diego, CA 92140. Delivery shall
be 30 days after award. The procurement consist of the following: Line
Item 001: Poles, 45 each, Ornamental anchor base, height 14' from
bases of post, construction, fiberglass tenon, 3" O.D x 3" long finish
color "BLACK' base electroplated galvanized steel, ornamental post
style, Georgetown fiberglass 400 series (brand name or equal). Line
Item 0002: Fixtures, 45 each, fluted cast aluminum, painted to match
posts, ballast mutitap voltage 120/208/480 vac. dual fuse protection W.
J. Whatley (brand name or equal), built in photo electric cell,
incorporated to construction of fixture, socket porcelain mogul base
type lamp type, high pressure sodium, 150 watts. Quotations must be
received by close of business on or before 14 March 1997. Quotations
may be mailed, faxed or hand carried to MCRD, Contracting and
Purchasing Branch, Building 310, 4411 Belleau Avenue, San Diego, CA
92140-5398, fax number (619) 524-0592. The Government will award the
purchase order to the responsible contractor whose quote conforms to
the requirement and will be most advantageous to the Government price
and other factors considered. The Government anticipates the award of
a firm-fixed price procurement. The following factors will be used to
evaluate contractors quotes: 1. Ability to meet required delivery date.
2. Ability to satisfy minimal requirements of the request for
quotation. 3. Past performance. For evaluation of past performance,
contractors are required to submit information pertaining to previous
sales to other government activities, or to private industry, including
contact numbers, date of purchase, amount of purchase, name, address,
