910/432-2297 This acquisition is for the rental of tentage. This is a
combined synopsis/request for quotation for commercial items prepared
in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with
additional information included in this notice. This announcement
constitutes the only Request for Quotations. Quaotations are being
requested and a written Request for Quotation will not be issued.
USZA92-97-Q-0007 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). For
determining the business size, the SIC is 5999. To be considered a
small business, a concern, including its affiliates annual average
receipts cannot exceed $7.5M. This procurement is unrestricted. The FSC
for this project is 8340. Specifications are as follows: Quantity is
approximately 17 tents with dimensions of 50'x75'. Contractor shall
provide all material, equipment, labor and transportation necessary to
transport, delivery, offload, install, maintain, tear-down, reload and
remove all tentage. Contractor shall provide the following type of
tentage. Clear span frame tent of aluminum frame via edge rope (KEDER)
slide through aluminum extrusion. Clear span frame is engineered and
is suitable for UBC 70 mph windspeed and Class C (open terrain)
exposure and shall consist of sidewalls and roof and shall be secured
to withstand 70 mph windspeed. Walls and roof shall be fitted to
protect the occupants from exposure to the elements suah as wind and
rain from entering through seams, connections, and under the walls.
Each tent shall have at least 2 openings for entry/exit which can be
secured/closed to protect occupants from the elements. The location of
the doors shall be coordinated between the government point of contact
on-site and the contractor prior to installation. In addition, the
contractor shall install raised pre-fabricated wood flooring covered
with indoor/outdoor carpet covering the entire inside floor of all
tents. Contractor shall provide fluoresent lighting sufficient to
illuminate the entire inside area of each tent. Light fixtures and
electrical wiring shall be secured to the purlin, run outside the tent
and be able to be hooked into external power units which will be
installaed directly outsisde the tents by a commercial contractor. All
wiring shall be in compliance with OSHA standards and appropriate
state building codes and regulations. Contractor shall provide on-site
maintenance as required to ensure tentage is functional and secure for
the entire contract period and shall provide on-site maintenance within
2 hours of notification of a problem. Contractor shall provide a point
of contact and phone numer/pager number, with 24-hour
communication/access capability, for on-site maintenance during the
entire contract period. Contractor shall coordinate with the power and
climate control contracgor prior to installation date to discuss the
project, provide on-site access to tentage and ensure smooth transition
of installation at the job site. Contractor shall commence delivery and
installation allowing sufficient time to ensure site is ready for
occupancy by 2 May 1997. The earliest delivery/installation start date
is 28 April 1997 at which time the Government point of contact shall
be on-site. Contractor shall tear-down, load, and remove tentage NLT 27
May 1997. Government shall notify the Contractor of any changes in
dates. Quotations deemed most advantageous to the government will be
based on price and ability to meet government requirements. Site
location for this procurement is the US Army's Warrior Camp, located
within the England Industrial Air Park, Alexandria, LA. The site is
level with a gravel/asphalt base. Inoices shall be submitted to Defense
Accounting Officer, ATTN: Commercial Accounts, Building 2-1120 Macomb
Street, Fort Bragg, NC 28307-5000. The provisions at FAR 52.212-1,

price. the provisions at 52.212-3, Offeror Representation and

copy of this provision with the offer. The clause at 52.212-4, Contract
