McDonnell Douglas Helicopter Systems, the Prime Contactor, will remove the existing Monochrome Cathode Ray Tube (MCRT) displays and display processors from the Lot 1 AH-64D aircraft (24 each) and install the color Active Liquid Matrix Crstal Displays (ALMCDs) (known as MultiPurpose Display [MPD]) and color display processors; and, will provide the 96 display units and 48 display processors and installation hardware, airframe modifications, software loading, and verification of operation.
