Contract Specialist, MCPHERSON, CHYREL, (202)305-7284 This is a
combined synopsis/solicitation for construction prepared in accordance
with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional
information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes this
solicitation; a written copy of proposal can be requested. The
solicitation number is 1PI-R-0705-97 and the date/time for receipt of
proposals is March 10, 1997 at 2:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. The
solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those
in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 90-42. The SIC is 1542.
Contract Line is: Sale of One (1) paint oven equipment to be
dismantled and remove paint system. Equipment is be removed from the
third floor of the factory through elevator and asbestos removal by a
certified asbestos abatement contractor. Asbestos removal must be done
by a certified asbestos contractor and must meet and exceed all local,
state, federal laws for asbestos abatement. Equipment consist of: One
(1) four stage wash system, part opening 48" X 87" X 50' L, Four stem
heated mild steel wash tanks with pumps, valves, and piping; one
complete 37' gas fired dry off oven; one complete 35' X 30' gas fired
cure oven; one 60' X 14' cure oven shell; 208V MCC for wash system
components. Equipment to be removed from the third floor factory thru
elevator sized 9' X 13' X 96' H. Successful bidder is responsible for
asbestos removal in cure ovens. Removal hours from: 6:30 a.m. to 3:00
p.m., Monday through Friday. Bidder and employees must meet security
background check requirements to enter a Federal Correctional Facility.

448. Successful Bidder will do the dismantling and asbestos removal
between May 1, 1997 and June 1, 1997. The estimated price range of this
job is between $10,000 to $19,000. The completion period of this job is
30 days. Wage Determination Applicable to this Contract. Submission and
