The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division, Newport (NUWCDIVNPT) plans to award a contract to Tracewell, Inc., Westerville, Ohio for 6 VME Chassis Tracewell Part #521-1019. Configuration Requirements/Salient Characteristics Dimensions: (1) 19" EIA x 12U x 27"; (2) Recessed, 21 SLOT 6U X 160 mm card cage; (3) 21 SLOT high performance backplane offering automatic, active autobus grant, jack, ground guard tracking, surface mount design; (4) Two (2) 750 watt power supplies, each housed in movable slide mounted drawers: ps to offer N +1 current sharing capability, each drawer to have a status led's; (5) Three (3) 150 CFM fans mounted in top rear of unit for cooling air plenum; (6) top front panel provided with voltage, current, temperature monitoring readouts, LCD Screen silkscreened; (7) lower front panel provided with voltage indicators, tip jacks -- silkscreened; (8) rear panel -- painted silk-screened; (8) cable way for rounding i/o from front to rear; (9) cable routing channel along left side plate for i/o from .12 to SPARC; (10) removable air filter; (11) micro reset module (+5V, SYS Fail indicators, system reset SW); (12) on/off circuit breaker, iec conn; (13) current monitoring, temperature monitoring capabilities; (14) display, pcb, chip controller, painted, assembled, wired, tested; and (15) full height, 5.25" drive bay mounted in rear, w/ two (2) drive harnesses. Delivery will be FOB Destination to the Naval Undersea Warfare Center Newport, Newport, Rhode Island, 72 days after contract award. Th e Government intends to solicit a quotation from Tracewell via written RFQ N66604-97-Q-2018 and to award a contract via Simplified Acquisition Procedures on or before 15 April 1997. Quotations will be due in the office no later than 10 April 1997. The reason why other than Full and Open Procedures are being used is that the chassis will be used to expand the current programmable signal processing system. The chassis must be identical in form and function so they will operate with existing equipment. Al l sources that believe they have the capability to meet the Government's requirement may submit a proposal which will be considered by NUWCDIVNPT. See Note 22. (0052)
