The contractor shall identify and visit material manufacturers who have off-the-shelf materials with the potential for qualifying for shipboard uses. The contractor shall obtain material samples for initial qualification screening by the Carderock Division, Naval Surface Warfare Center (CDNSWC). Periodic visits will be made to CDNSWC for reporting purposes, and a summary report documenting the identification efforts and results shall be provided at the end of the contract. The contractor must be experienced with polymer properties and polymer manufacturing, and must be very knowledgeable of the polymer manufacturing industry. ( see Note 22 ) (0052)
