The Volpe Center plans to procure sole source Simplified Acquisition from DaCar, Whitiensville, MA, to evaluate logistics requirements in an effort to improve operations and reduce costs. This procurement will consist of multiple tasks, this will be carried out in accordance with standards and principles laid out by the Computer Aided Logistics Support (CALS) program, with specific base level operations known as Tier 4 and the Commercial Reservation System (CRS). The overall scope of the CALS Tier 4 task is to plan, facilitate, validate and improve upon functional Air Force systems, to enhance user and logistics systems support and capabilities and to provide solutions for existing and future requirements. Small Business firms classified under SIC Code 7373 that are interested in proposing on this requirement must demonstrate to the Contracting Officer in writing no later than 15 days from the date of publication that they: (1) possess knowledge of the standards and principles laid out by the Computer Aided Logistics Support (CALS) program and Commercial Reservation System (CRS). Small Business firms will be required to submit documentation in support of the above for evaluation by the Government prior to receiving a quotation.
