C -- EXPAND OUTPATIENT CLINIC SOL RFP 613-28-97 DUE 032497 POC Bertha Geraghty Architect-Engineer Services to develop preliminary plans based on discussion with Medical Center staff, provide construction documents and construction period services for renovations in Bldg. 500 at the Va Medical Center, Martinsburg, WV. Work includes architectural, mechanical and electrical disciplines. Design to comply with V.A., NFPA, ADA and other criteria typical for VA hospital requirements, and clinic-to-clinic relationships. The A/E must have experience in the design of outpatient clinics and hospital engineering. SPECIAL NOTE: THIS ACQUISITION IS SET-ASIDE FOR EMERGING SMALL BUSINESS UNDER SIC 8712-ARCHITECT/ENGINEERING SERVICES. An emerging small business is defined as a business whose size is not greater than 50 percent of the numerical size standard applied to the SIC code assigned. The numerical size standard for 8712 is $2.5 million (Annual receipts of a concern which average gross revenue of the concern taken for the last 3 fiscal years). A firm-fixed price contract is anticipated to be awarded. All QUALIFIED interested parties are invited to submit qualifications to the Contracting Officer, VA Medical Center, Route 9, Martinsburg, WV 25401, in the form SF's 245 and 255. Firms should include all relevant information regarding past projects designed which are similar in type to this projects. All responses are to be received by the Contracting Officer no later that 4:00 P.M. on March 24, 1997. NOTICE: THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL.
