The Securities and Exchange Commission intends to issue a Request for Proposals on or about March 13, 1997 for ADP assistance. The solicitation document will delineate the SEC's requirements for assistance and support in four areas, and the SEC's intent is to make multiple awards in each area to those offerors whose proposals offer the government the "best value", based on the stated evaluation criteria. The four areas of assistance are: (1) Mainframe Programming Assistance and Business Process Reengineering (2) Networks, Network Engineering and Internet; (3) Client/Server Application Development, Deployment and Support; and (4) ADP Investigation and Litigation Support.Each area of assistance should be considered as separate and distinct, and offerors must submit a proposal for each area in which it wishes to be considered and evaluated. There are no limitations on the number of areas of assistance for which the offeror wishes to be considered. Subsequest to contract awards, task orders will be issued by the SEC as the need arises to the contractors in the relevant area of assistance. Task order awards shall be based on the evaluation criteria stated in the task order and those stated in the soliciation document. The SEC's intent is to award all task orders competitively. All responsible sources may submit proposals, and all proposals conforming to the stated format and content shall be considered.
