The St. Louis (MO) Housing Authority (SLHA) invites interested and qualified private-sector firms to submit proposals to perform complete project development, planning, and implementation tasks in conjunction with future HOPE VI Urban Revitalization Programs. Firms located outside the St. Louis area are encouraged to assemble a team or partnership(s) with local firms to the maximum extent possible in accordance with Section 3 of the Housing Act of 1968, which provides for hiring/training of disadvantaged residents and the participation of resident-owned businesses. The selected firm must have at least: ten (10) years of satisfactory experience in working with a Public Housing Authority, HUD, local units of government, community development agencies, and/or related organizations; successfully developed, and constructed a housing development consisting of at least 100 units; a minimum of five (5) years management experience. The Developer, in collaboration with the SLHA, will be responsible for responding to all of the application submission requirements presented in the Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA) associated with the 1997 HOPE VI application(s). A pre-solicitation meeting will be held on March 4, 1997, at 10:00 a.m. (local time) at the above address. Solicitation documents may be obtained at no charge.
