Myers, Phone (703)604-0757 The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) proposes to negotiate a firm-fixed price contract for FMS equipment and services for the HARPOON Weapon System (HWS) from McDonnell Douglas Corporation, McDonnell Douglas Aerospace, P.O. Box 516, St. Louis, Missouri 63166-0516. The FMS equipment and services to be provided include the following items: four (4) AN/SWG-1A(V) HARPOON Shipboard Command Launch Control Systems (HSCLCS) with software version 8/9, Grade B Launch Support Structures (LSS), and related supply support (including standard and unique spares), ship installation support, provisioning, publications, training, and test equipment. Additional pending FMS requirements include the following items: four (4) AN/SWG-1A(V) Federated HSCLCS with software version 6/7, five (5) HARPOON Casualty Panels, one (1) ECP for the Canister Tool Kit, and additional related supply support (including standard and unique spares), ship installation support, provisioning, publications, training, and test equipment. These FMS requirements will be procured under contract No. N00019-97-C-0100. McDonnell Douglas is the designer, developer, and sole producer of the HWS. As such, McDonnell Douglas is the only source possessing the unique knowledge, experience, and technical data which is required to perform the described effort in the required time frame.
