Rynerson, Contracting Officer, (602) 352-2504 Western intends to negotiate, on a sole source basis, with RECOM Technologies Inc. for environmental support services. This is to assure that projects in progress are finished timely and that the knowledge and experience from the present contractor are not lost. The cost and time for the Government to get another contractor to the present contractors level would be prohibitive and would not allow the projects in progress to be finished on time. This order will be for a 6 month period, starting March 1, 1997 and uses Simplified Acquisition procedures. Vendors able to meet this requirement are invited to identify their interest and ability by submitting a proposal to include technical data, pricing, and any other information which shows a bona fide ability to meet this requirement by February 27, 1997. If no affirmative responses are received within this time to determine that a comparable source more advantageous to the Government is available, negotiations will take place with RECOM Technologies Inc.
