The Defense Distribution Center McClellan (DDMC), Sacramento Air Logistics Center and the Sacramento County Local Redevelopment Authority (LRA) will jointly sponsor an Industry Day on 1-2 Aug 96 at the Sacramento Air Logistics Center in Sacramento, California. The primary objective of this Industry Day is to familiarize industry with the Defense Logistic Agency's initiative to outsource the DDMC mission at McClellan AFB. The two days will consist of a series of briefings, discussions and tours to: -- Familiarize the private sector with DLA's initiative to outsource DDMC. -- Familiarize the private sector with the missions, equipment, facilities and personnel that will be outsourced. -- Discuss how the DDMC outsourcing effort will be integrated with the overall McClellan AFB privatization-in-place initiative -- Familiarize industry with the Local Redevelopment Authority's vision of McClellan as a joint DOD-commercial work Industrial Park. -- Tour the DDMC facilities as well as the McClellan AFB workload areas that are being privatized.
