58 -- AIRBORNE AND GROUND DIGITAL RECORDER/REPRODUCE SYSTEM SOL N68936-97-R-0037 POC Diane Foucher, Contracting Officer, (619) 939-8160. The Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division (NAWCWPNS), China Lake, CA intends to procure airborne and laboratory data record/reproduce systems under a competitive, Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quanitity (IDIQ) contract. Period of Performance will be for three (3) years plus two one (1) year options. The airborne record and laboratory record/reproduce subsystems shall be compliant with IRIG 106-96, chapter 6.16, 1/2 inch digital cassette (S-VHS) Helical Scan Recording Standards. The minimum quantity consists of six (6) airborne record systems, six (6) laboratory record/reproduce systems, and (4) four multiplexer/demultiplexer systems. The maximum consists of 155 airborne record systems, 138 laboratory record/reproduce subsystems, and 102 multiplexer/demultiplexer systems. There are other related items which will be described in the Request for Proposal (RFP). Delivery is FOB destination. Delivery date for the first article for all systems shall be 180 days ARO. Production units for all systems shall be available 120 days after receipt of the first article or ARO unless otherwise indicated on the individual delivery orders. A pre-solicitation conference will be held at NAWCWPNS, China Lake on or about 26 Mar 1997 to answer questions pertaining to the draft specification. It is anticipated that N68936-97-R-0037 will be issued as an RFP with a SIC code of 3663, which will close 30 days after issue date. The estimated date of issue for the RFP is 07 April 1997.
