COMMERCE BUSINESS DAILY ISSUE OF FEBRUARY 27,1997 PSA#1791National Park Service, Concession Program Management Office, 600
Harrison Street, Suite 600, San Francisco, California 94107-1372 M -- NOTICE OF INTENTION TO ISSUE A THREE YEAR CONCESSION
CONTRACT-CRATER LAKE NATIONAL PARK POC Teresa Jackson (415) 427-1369.
The National Park Service intends to issue a three year concession
contract to follow the contract which will expire on October 31, 1997,
at Crater Lake National Park. This action is necessary to avoid
interruption of public services during the completion of a visitor
services plan and related environmental compliance requirements for the
park. The National Park Service does not intend to renew this contract
for an extended period until the planning requirements are concluded
which will determine the future direction for concession services
within Crater Lake National Park. Until then, the park can not begin to
develop a Prospectus for a long term contract. For these reasons, it is
not in the best interest of Crater Lake National Park to enter into a
long term concession contract. It is the intention of the National Park
Service to issue a short term contract while planning is being
completed, and then, solicit offers for a long term concession
contract. (0056) Loren Data Corp. http://www.ld.com (SYN# 0052 19970227\M-0003.SOL)
