R -- ADDITION OF FREEDOM OF INFORMATION AUTOMATION POC David Nemerow, Negotiator, (703) 325-6627, Daniel R. Gonzales, Contracting Officer, (703) 325-6684. The Defense Special Weapons Agency (DSWA) proposes a modification to contract DNA001-96-C-0119 to commence approximately 17 Mar 97, to McNeil Technologies, Incorporated, 6800 Backlick Road, Springfield, VA 22150, for additional support processing Freedom of Information Act requests for DSWA and other Government offices. The additional work includes providing direct support to the FOIA program such as maintaining the FOIA database, files, correspondence, identifying, locating and reviewing FOIA documents. Under the current contract, McNeil presently provides support to DSWA for processing FOIA requests. McNeil is the only source that possesses the in-house knowledge required of the DSWA FOIA position and an understanding of automated system currently utilized by the DSWA FOIA office. It is impossible for anyone except McNeil to efficiently provide the services required in this procurement.
