Z -- CONCORD, NH RETAIL STORE UPGRADE TO NEW POSTAL STORE/TOILET RENOVATIONS SOL 082530-97-A-0047 DUE 032797 POC John Nielsen, Project Manager (860) 285-7120 On or about Wednesday, February 26, 1997, the United States Postal Service, Windsor Facilities Service Office, 6 Griffin Road North, Windsor, CT will issue a solicitation to convert the existing Concord Postal Retail Station located at 12 Loudon Road, Concord, Merrimack County, New Hampshire into a new USPS Retial Store and also install new toilet facilities for the conference room. Sealed offers are due on or before Thursday, March 27, 1997 no later than 4:00 p.m. EST. The project will be awarded to the contractor who submits the best combination of technical and price proposal. The technical proposal will outweigh the price proposal. The estimated cost of the work is between $200,000.00 and $400,000.00. The contract completion time is ninety (90) calendar days after the award. THERE WILL BE NO PUBLIC OPENING OF THE PROPOSALS AND THE RESULTS OF THE ADVERTISEMENT WILL NOT BE PUBLISHED UNTIL AWARD OF THE PROJECT. There will be a preproposal conference held on Thursday, March 13, 1997 beginning at 2:00 p.m. on site (12 Loudon Road) in the conference room located at the rear of the existing postal facility to discuss the specifics of the project. Attendance is not mandatory but is strongly suggested. Site visits may be arranged by contacting Ms. Carla Brown, Window Supervisor at the Concord Retail Station at (603) 225-0004. Work includes, but is not limited to, providing all labor, materials and equipment required to convert the existing Retail Station located at 12 Loudon Road, Concord, New Hampshire into a new USPS Postal Store and install new toilet facilities for the conference room. The work includes demolition, electrical/lighting, plumbing, flooring, casework, painting, signage, ductwork and closed circuit television and surveillance equipment. All offerors are to be aware that this work is being done on an operating postal retail station that is in business six days a week. The contractor will be responsible to coordinate all work as to minimize disruption to the ongoing postal operations to the maximum extent possible.
