TRAVELING CRANE POC William H. Wedler, Contract Specialist,
610-595-0505. The Navy is seeking qualified sources willing to provide
an existing 100-Ton Overhead Electric Traveling Crane for use at the
Naval Foundry in Philadelphia, PA. The crane shall be suitable for
handling molten metal. It shall run on 240 VDC, operate on rail spacing
of 75 feet, 10 inches; and be equipped with an auxiliary hoist with a
capacity of 25 to 50 tons. Potential sources should submit descriptive
literature (list capabilities of crane, age (years and hours of
operation), condition, manufacturer, previous overhauls, if any,
approximate cost and warranty information) not later than 30 March
1997. This is not a Request For Proposal; but is a request for
information only. The Navy Crane Center will not pay or otherwise
reimburse respondents for the information submitted. Oral
communications are not acceptable and will not be honored at this time.
