includes four options: Options 1-3, 2 each and Option 4, 1 each.
Therefore, the total possible quantity for the procurement is 9 each.
The equipment definition is as follows: The cooling unit transfers the
heat from the load by means of a liquid to liquid heat exchanger in
the secondary (ships water) coolant line. The cooling unit shall
provide indicator lights for loss of power, coolant over temperature,
low coolant flow, low reservoir level and a meter for measuring water
resistivity. The cooling unit shall also have the built-in test
capability to test the indicators used for over temperature, low
reservoir level and low flow faults. The interface definition is as
follows: The cooling unit shall interface with the AN/SPS-40E Radar
through Unit 32. The Cooling Unit shall provide Unit 32 with 4.5GPM
minimum with a total 60 PSI drop through Units 28, 29 and 32. Utilizing
ships chilled water the cooling unit shall be capable of removing
18,050 BTU/HR. The dissolved oxygen content shall be 0.5 PPM by weight
maximum. The resistivity shall be 0.5 meg OHM/CM minimum. The coolant
pressure should not exceed 125 PSI. Delivery shall commence within 60
days after the effective date of the contract. F.O.B. destination
terms apply with inspection and acceptance at NAVSURFWARCENDIV Crane.
