No. (860) 444-8239 -- FAX (860) 444-8299 The United States Coast Guard Research and Development (R & D) Center located in Groton, CT is interested in identifying existing services to oursource Remote Access Service (RAS). The service should enable R&DC Center personnel nationwide access to the Center's email, client/server, and file resources. The system should also provide security between the service provider and the R&D Center. The security features should protect valid users and exclude non-valid users. The R&D Center's primary operating system is Windows NT with TCP IP as the network protocol. We currently have a frame relay connection provided by an Internet Service Provider (ISP). The service should enable R&D Center employees to securely operate from anywhere in the country with the same funtionality as if operating at their desk. Sources are requested to submit a written Statement of Capabilities (SOC) describing their experience in designing and maintaining RAS systems as well as a list of relevant contacts for similar systems produced in the last five years. Sources should submit brochures, technical reports or other supplemental data that describes the features, performance and hardware/software/operating system requirements of their systems.
