types of lens assemblies. The cameras will be mounted on a remotely
controlled ground vehicle. One camera shall provide video to the
operator enabling the driver to steer the vehicle through numerous
obstacles. This camera shall have a field of view (FOV) of
approximately 50 degrees. The second camera shall have a narrow FOV
zoom lens and shall provide the operator with the capability of
recognizing objects at ranges up to 2 kilometers from the camera. The
cameras shall be subjected to all natural environmental conditions such
as high/low temperatures, high humidity, rain and the shock/vibration
associated with the vehicle movement without degradation of
performance. This announcement is intended to assist the Government in
identifying possible industry sources that can provide the Army with
video cameras with the following minimum system capabilities.
ELECTRICAL: Video Camera, Color CCD; System, NTSC, PAL; Power, 12 -- 24
VDC; Current, ~ 500 mamps; Pick-up element, 1/4, 1/3, 1/2 or 1 inch
format; Pixel Elements, 768 H x 494 V; Resolution, 460 TVL; Scene
Illumination, less than 5 lux required (low light level... lux less
that 1 desired). MECHANICAL: for both the camera and lens: Length, 9
inches; Width, 4 inches; Height, 2.5 inches per camera; Weight, ~ 5
pounds maximum. ENVIRONMENTAL: Storage Temperature, -30 to 70 degrees
