Andrews AFB MD intends to issue, on or about 14 Apr 97, a solicitation for the replacement of glass, at Andrews AFB, Brandywine and Davidsonville MD. Emergency service may be required. Based on market research, the Government does not plan to solicit the described supplies or services using FAR commercial procedures. Interested parties shall identify, in 15 days, their capability to fulfill the stated Government requirement with available commercial item/service. This acquisition is 100% Set-Aside for Small Business Concerns. The SIC Code is 1793. Business size must be included with your written request for a copy of the solicitation. The opening/closing date and time for submission of bids/offers will be contained in the solicitation package. Only written requests for a copy of the solicitation will be honored and only one copy per firm. All information required for submission of an offer will be included with the solicitation package. We do not issue receipts for either your request for the solicitation package or for your offer. Requests for information must also be in writing, no information will be given over the phone. Only requests received directly from the firm will be honored. The Government is contemplating a contract for a basic period of one year plus three one year option periods. The Government reserves the right not to exercise the options.
