Andrews AFB MD intends to issue, on or about 14 Apr 97, a solicitation for laundry service and dry cleaning of Government Owned Linen for sites at Andrews AFB MD. Contractor to provide laundry and dry cleaning services, including pick-up and delivery, three times a week. Emergency service may also be required. Based on market research, the Government does not plan to solicit the described supplies or services using FAR commercial procedures. Interested parties shall identify, in 15 days, their capability to fulfill the stated Government requirement with available commercial items/services. This acquisition is 100% Set-Aside for Small Business Concerns. The SIC Code is 7213. Business size must be included with your written request for a copy of the solicitation. The closing date and time for submission of offers will be contained in the solicitation package. Only written requests for a copy of the solicitation will be honored and only one copy per firm. All information required for submission of an offer will be included with the solicitation package. We do not issue receipts for either your request for the solicitation package or for your offer. Requests for information must also be in writing, no information will be given over the phone. Only requests received directly from the firm will be honored. The Government is contemplating a contract for a basic period of one year plus three one year option periods. The Government reserves the right not to exercise the options.
