527-5848 Sources sought to provide vessel charter for an 18-day shark
stock assessment and tagging survey in the Southern California Bight.
The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) requires a minimum 50'
vessel with minimum 30 cubic feet freezer space, 20 square feet for 6
barrels, 30 square feet for live shark tank, 12 square feet for
specimen sorting table, and 120 square feet for processing specimens.
Vessel will transport seven (7) government passengers during two 9-day
charters. Shark surveys will be conducted from California-Mexico
boarder north to San Miguel Island and to approximately 60 miles
offshore. Both charters must be accomplished during the period of
07/18/97 -- 08/23/97. This is a simplified acquisition with an
estimated value of less than $50,000. All responsible sources may
