Kruzewski, Contracting Officer (401) 736-1704 fax SOLICITATION NOTICE: The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, transportation, supervision and disposal necessary for the sand blasting, minor repairs and repainting of the lighthouse tower, caisson foundation, access ladder, catwalk and incidental related work at Pecks Ledge Light. Work includes the sandblasting, cleaning, and repainting of lighthouse tower, caisson and catwalks. Removal of existing paint includes LEAD CONTAINING PAINT. The total exterior surface area of the lighthouse is approximately 5,000 SF of which approximately half is currently coated with LEAD CONTAINING PAINT. Lead paint must be removed contained, remediated, and disposed of in accordance with specifications. Contractor shall also transport and install Government furnished access ladder at the lighthouse exterior. Estimated cost of the project is between $100,000 and $250,000. SIC is 1721. Plans and specifications to be available on or about 19 March 1997 and may be obtained by mailing a non refundable check in the amount of $20.00 payable to USCG.
