This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. PROPOSALS ARE BEING REQUESTED AND A WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. Solicitation Number is DADA10- 97-R-0027 and is issued as a Request for Proposal (RFP). This solicitation documents and incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 90-41. This is a sole source procurement. Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) is 3579 and small business size standard is 500 employees. Under the authority of 40 U.S.C.759(g), the U.S. Army Medical Command, Central Contracting Office (CCO), intends to negotiate a firm fixed price contract on a sole source basis with Dictaphone Corporation, 7600 Chevy Chase Drive, Suite 510, Austin, Texas 78752, to provide a turnkey solution to include hardware and software for the upgrade ofone existing Dictaphone Corporation Digital Express (DX) 7000 Voice Processing System and one Record Express (RX) 1000 Integrated Management Transcription System at Darnall Army Community Hospital (DACH), Fort Hood, Texas. The contractor shall furnish all hardware, peripherals, software, cabling, and labor for installation and training to upgrade and consolidate the standalone systems currently located in the Department of Radiology and Patient Administration Division. The software being used includes DX MarK II to Mark V System Upgrade, DX Mark V to DX 8000 V.34 Software, Record Express 1000 File Server Software, RX 1000 Transcriber Workstation Software, RX 1000 Administrative Workstation Software, RX 4 User Administrative Workstation Software. The provisions at FAR 52.12-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial, without addenda, applies to this acquisition. Offerors shall include a completed copy of the provision at FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items with offer.
