The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport intends to solicit technical and price proposals for DT-511( )/WLR-9 Hydrophones and DT-592( )/WLR-9 Hydrophones. First Article Acceptance Testing (FAAT) will be required. If supplies identical or substantially identical to those called for herein have been previously furnished by the offeror and accepted by the Government, the requirement for first article approval may be waived by the Contracting Officer. Two units of each type of hydrophone will be required for FAAT. Acceptance testing will be performed by the Government. First year production quantity will be 88 units of DT-511 and 48 units of DT-592. If FAAT is not required, first year production quantity will be 90 units of DT-511 and 50 units of DT-592. Second year option quantity will be between 24 and 59 units of DT-511,and between 24 and 59 units of DT-592. Third year option quantity will be between 24 and 85 units of DT-511, and between 24 and 47 units of DT-592. Pricing will be reque sted for various ranges of quantities in the option years. F.O.B. Origin, inspection and acceptance at origin. Delivery to Williamsburg, Virginia. Acquisition is unrestricted; standard industry code (SIC) is 3812. Anticipate solicitation will be available in the middle of March. Award will be made on the basis of Best Value to the Government. Evaluation Factors: Technical Capability including Past Performance and Cost including cost of Government FAAT.
