This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. RFQ 786-33-97 is hereby issued as a Request for Quotation and includes incorporated provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 90-45. The Standard Industrial Code (SIC) is 2399 with a small business size standard of 500 employees. The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) National Cemetery System has a requirement for 86,406 decorative Americans flags for graves at select cemeteries for final delivery by May 15, 1997. The contractor shall provide and deliver to each delivery point listed below, an 8 inches by 12 inches finished sized American flag mounted on a 3/8 inch by 24 inches wood dowel. The wood dowel shall be pointedon the bottom end with a gilt-gold wood or plastic spear securely fastened to the top. The flag shall be hemmed on all sides, cotton fabric, and will be stapled to the staff with at least three (3) staples (top, center, bottom). All flags shall be delivered f.o.b. destination to each of the national cemeteries listed below. Flags are to be delivered to the individual delivery points as soon as production is completed to meet the specified delivery dates. Partial orders will be accepted when agreed upon by the contracting officer.
