The Division of Cancer Epidemiology and Genetics (DCEG), National Cancer Institute (NCI), National Institutes of Health (NIH) intends to expand the existing Master Agreement (MA) pool for "Support Services for Studies of Emergent Cancer" with additional qualified offerors. ALL MA HOLDERS ALREADY IN THE EXISTING MA POOL NEED NOT RESPOND TO THIS ANNOUNCEMENT. Contractors selected for award of a MA may be solicited to provide managerial, data collection, and data processing support for epidemiologic studies to be designed and executed alone or in collaboration with other research organizations. Specific tasks may include: study planning and liaison activities; data collection forms design; development of data collection manuals; data abstracting and coding; identification, location, and interviewing of study subjects; exposure assessment, quality control activities; and the submission of computerized data and associated reports or deliverables. Multiple Master Agreement Orders/Request for Proposal's (MAO/RFP's) will be issued each year. An MA holder is free to respond or not respond to any particular MAO/RFP without having any effect on its MA. MAs awarded from this announcement shall be issued for a period not to exceed March 31, 2000. MAA/RFP number N01-CP-71038-09 will be available on or about April 11, 1997, and proposals will be due approximately 45 days thereafter.
