(703) 602-7817, Ext. 523 The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) intends
to issue orders on n multiple occasions over the period of the Basic
Ordering Agreement N00024-97-G-5227 with Boeing North American, Inc.,
Defense Electronics Systems, 3370 Miraloma Avenue Anaheim, CA
92803-3105. Orders will be issued to receive, open, inspect,
disassemble, test, repair, overhaul, modify or replace, as necessary,
malfunctioning AN/USQ-82(V) DMS/FODMS equipment and components from
LHD-1 and DDG-51 class ships. Orders will be issued pursuant to 10
U.S.C.2304(c)(1). Boeing North American is currently the only
manufacturer of the AN/USQ-82(V) DMS/FODMS who has the design and
technical knowledge to provide this effort. No other source has the
technical qualifications and the necessary resources to perform the
work described herein, nor will any other supplies or services satisfy
the Navy's requirements. Companies interested in subcontracting
