Postal Service is accepting offers from FDIC-insured financial institutions to provide depository services for four (4) postal districts in the Great Lakes Area. These districts are: Chicago District, Chicago IL, 85 postal retail units, primarily within the city of Chicago. Central Illinois District, Bedford Park, IL, 675 postal retail units in the southern Chicago suburbs and central portion of Illinois. Northern Illinois District, Carol Stream, IL, 220 postal retail units in the northern Chicago suburbs and northern Illinois. Greater Indiana District, Indianapolis, IN, 500 postal retail units in Indiana including the entire state except for the southern most portion. A request for Proposal (RFP) solicitation package is available for interested financial institutions. Interested financial institutions are invited to submit a proposal on any or all of the accounts. There will be a pre-proposal conference at the Chicago District Office, 433 W. Harrison St., Rm. 3087, Chicago IL, March 25, 1997, from 8:30 to 11:30 AM. Attendance is mandatory for all offerors as a pre-requisite for submitting a proposal. Responses to the RFP must be submitted before the close of business 5:00 CST on April 9, 1997.
