The U.S. Army Engineer District, New Orleans, has a requirement for Real Estate Title Research and Insurance Services in support of the Atchafalaya Basin Floodway System Project. The contract area is described as Segment 23 and Segment 25 of the Project area. Both segments are located in St. Martin Parish, LA. Segment 23, with 24 landowners, consists of approximately 6,302.13 acres of Environmental Protection and Developmental Control Easement; Perpetual Flowage, Environmental Protection and Developmental Control Easement. Segment 25, with 69 owners, contains approximately 10,371.83 acres of the same easements. The successful contractor will provide approximately 93 Interim Binders with Chain of Title, Intermediate Certificates and/or Endorsements, as needed, and ultimately Final Title Insurance. The term of contract shall be 5 years. The estimated combined right of way value is $ 4,169,000.00. The U.S. Department of Justice requires a minimally qualified contractor to be a Title Company or an attorneyor direct agent for a title company authorized to issue title policies in the state of Louisiana.
