SMALL BUSINESS CONFERENCE -- "BUILDING PARTNERSHIPS" Small Business Conference -- "Building Partnerships", May 1, 1997 -- The Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) and the National Institutes of Health (NIH) are jointly sponsoring a Small Business Conference on May 1, 1997. The conference will be held at the Natcher Conference Center located on the NIH campus in Bethesda, Maryland. The conference "Building Partnerships" is being planned in cooperation with the Montgomery County Council of Chambers, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, and the NIH Recrea tion and Welfare Association, Inc. The conference program includes the following activities: workshops ranging from "How to do Business with the DHHS Operation Divisions (OPDIV)" to "Community Resources" to "Electronic Commerce"; On-the-Spot simplified purchasing opportunities; a "hands-on" Information Technology Center; DHHS OPDIV counseling; and networking opportunities with other businesses as well as DHHS Prime Contractors offering subcontracting opportunities.
