This building is one of the original barracks-headquarters structures constructed in the 1930's. The work includes abatement of asbestos and lead containing materials: selective demolition of features including toilet rooms, interior partitions, doors, lighting, electrical and mechanical systems, construction of new interior walls and partitions, access ramps, stairs and wheelchair lifts for handicap accessibility to all floors, addition of elevator service to all floors, new fire doors with hold-opens at stairwell doors, painting of all interior surfaces, carpeting, and new lighting, power, LAN wiring, and communications infrastructure suitable for the new use. Plans and specs available on or about 9 May 97 at no charge per set. No individual sheets are available. Documents will be issued on a first come, first served basis until supply is exhausted.
