The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) has a requirement for two (2) Praxair Model 1260 Powder Feedrate Controls or equal and one (1) Praxair Model 8800 Custom Spray Hood or equal. The Model 1260 Powder Feedrate Control provides direct readout and closed lop control of the powder feedrate for Miller Thermal powder hoppers. The control automatically brings the hopper to the programmed feedrate and maintains it closely for the duration of the spray run. The Model 8800 Custom Spray Hood is a freestanding platform ideally suited for thermal spraying, as it is specifically designed to contain fumes and dust generated by thermal spray processes. The actual work surface is a steel grating. All items must mate and match and be fully compatible with NIST's existing Miller SG100 plasma torch and Miller 1270 roto-feed powder hoppers.
