publicized in the CBD on or about 10/17/96 and 10/24/96 is revised to
change the evaluation factors, scope of the project, and the duration
of the contract as follows: Evaluation criteria shall include evidence
of experience with construction of laboratories, clinics, and
hospitals with projects costing at least $20 million (three projects
within the last ten years). Contractors will be evaluated on their
Project Management Plan, Past Experience, Past Performance, Completion
on Schedule, and Medical equipment, Mechanical Systems, and electrical
Systems procurement and installation. Work will include construction of
all mechanical, electrical plumbing, medical equipment, and interior
finish improvements, so as to make the space (approximately 50,000 sq
ft) fully occupied and in conformance with all applicable codes. The
contract performance period for the total completion will be 350
calendar days after receipt of NTP. There will be interim completion
dates for the Radiology Clinic (224 calendar days), Dental Care Clinic
(251 calendar days), and Pharmacy/Lab (300 calendar days). An option
will be included in the bid schedule to complete the contract in a
shorter timeframe, i.e. 293 calendar days for the total project with
203 calendar days for the Radiology Clinic, 230 calendar days for the
Dental Care Clinic, and 263 calendar days for the Pharmacy/Lab. A
separate NTP will be provided for the Timporary Corridor 8 to start
this portion of the project 146 calendar days after the issuance of the
original NTP. Optional items will be (1) Construction of Non-Clinic
related areas, (2) Procurement, Installation, and testing of Medical
Equipment, (3) Labor and Equipment required for installation of all
light fixtures, Hospital casework, plumbing fixtures, finish flooring,
Sprinkler heads, Wall & corner guards, Lockers and toilet
partitions/accessories, and Fire Alarm System in Clinic related areas,
(4) Labor and equipment required for installation of the Nurse Call
System, Public Address System, and Security System, and (5) labor,
equipment, overtime and/or shift work required to meet the interim
completion dates as indicated above. Additional work which related to
the Pentagon Renovation may be added to the contract at a later date.
Timeframe to exercise these options will be addressed in the
solicitation package. The contract will be awarded to the technically
