ANNEX & ALTERATIONS SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH SIC CODE -- 8712 The General
Services Administration (GSA) announces an opportunity for design
excellence (Stage II) in. Architect-Engineer (A-E) services for
addition of a new Annex and Alterations of the existing Frank E. Moss
Courthouse in Salt Lake City, UT. Please refer to the previous
solicitation number (GS-08P-97-JFC-0005) for general requirements for
all three stages. Short-listed firms will receive specific instructions
to prepare for this stage. The following A-E Design Firms and their
associated Lead Designers have been selected (short-listed) for Stage
II consideration: (1) DMJM -- Salt Lake City, UT/Los Angeles, CA; (2)
Valentiner Crane/Dworsky -- Salt Lake City, UT/Los Angeles, CA; (3)
MHTN/HOK -- Salt Lake City, UT/San Francisco, CA; FFKR/Barton Myers --
Salt Lake City, UT/Beverly Hills, CA; (5) Naylor Wentworth/Thomas
Phiefer -- Salt Lake City, UT/New York, NY; (6) Richardson Design/Hardy
holzman Pfeiffer -- Salt Lake City, UT/New York, NY; (7) Prescrott
Muir/Gwathmey Siegel -- Salt Lake City, UT/New York, NY. STAGE II
SUMMARY: In this stage, short-listed firms will provide qualifications
submittal for the entire project team, including the A-E Design Firm
selected in the first stage, its designated Lead Designer identified in
the first stage, and all the consultants who will work on this project.
The Government will establish the detailed evaluation criteria in a
follow up letter to the above short-listed firms. As a minimum, the
project team will be required to demonstrate previous experience in,
and understanding of, courthouse design or other building types with
complex security and programmatic requirements, and/or include
consultants specializing in those areas. Responses to this Stage are
due no later than 3:00 p.m. on March 28, 1997. All submittals must
clearly indicate the solicitation number (GS-08P-97-JFC-0005). Late
submittals will be handled in accordance with FAR 52.215-10. General
