IS A MARKET SURVEY NOT A SOLICITATION OR INVITATION FOR BID. The U.S.
Army Communications-Electronics Command, Communications Security
Logistics Activity is conducting a market survey for the Army to
determine the identity of companies that can provide commercially
available Firewalls that include training packages (installation and
user's), software upgrades, software site license, 3-year extended
warranties (with options to extend), installation, and site surveys
into a bundle package. The commercially available Firewalls must meet
at a minimum, FORTEZZA capability; packet filtering and application
layers; proxies [the firewall shall be able to proxy the following
services and protocols: Telnet, FTP, NTP, NNTP, smtp, SSL, shttp, NIS,
NFS, RPS, SNMP, Archie, Gopher, WAIS, X.400 (88 plus), rlogin, rsh,
rcp, rexec, RPC, TFTP, etc., X-Windows, DNS POP3, RIP2, OSPF, EGP, BGP,
ICMP (ping & trace route), and finger]; access control lists; network
address translation (NAT); and encryption. Companies that have products
that they believe can meet the above mentioned performance requirements
are invited to send information about their product to the above
address. Interested companies should submit a statement of interest and
capabilities including brochures and descriptive literature. ALSO each
submission should include the firm's ability to provide equipment from
multiple vendors/manufacturers and a copy of the site license and data
rights being offered by each manufacturer. The Government will review
all submitted statement of capabilities to determine market
availability of items that meet future U.S. Army needs. Submit your
