F -- HAZARDOUS WASTE REMOVAL AND DISPOSAL SOL BEP-97-15(N) DUE 051997 POC Contact Tina McGuire, Contract Specialist, 202/874-2451. The Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) intends to negotiate a contract for a base year and four (4) option years for removal and disposal of industrial hazardous and non-hazardous chemical wastes from its Washington, D. C. and Fort Worth, Texas facilities. Work consists of, but is not limited to, the following: sampling and analyzing, packaging, labeling, manifesting, transporting, and disposing of BEP generated hazardous and non-hazardous industrial chemical wastes and contaminated equipment and materials. The waste does not contain radioactive waste. The BEP requires all hazardous and non-hazardous waste to be disposed of in a Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) Subtitle C landfill. All interested parties shall be required to have sufficient equity to indemnify the BEP for all liability during transportation, treatment, storage, disposal and any clean-up required. Sufficient equity is defined as company value and insurance coverage. Because of space constraints at the BEP and Environment Protection Agency (EPA)/DC regulations, all interested parties shall have a licensed distribution facility to enable a single truck to transport the majority of the waste from the BEP within 24 hours after notification. Interested firms must submit a written request for a copy of Solicitation BEP-97-15(N) and shall indicate the firm's size status (i.e., Large, Small, Minority, or Women-Owned) based on SIC code 4953 ($6 million). Telephonic requests will not be honored, but firms may fax or e-mail their requests to (202) 874-2200 or joan.waters@bep.treas.gov. See Numbered Note(s) 26. (0059)
