This contract includes the welding and installation of 970 tons of standard rail, 1930 tons of high strength rail, and the installation of special trackwork which includes two #10 double crossovers, two #10 single crossovers, and one #8 guarded double crossover; the rail and special trackwork is Authority furnished. This contract also includes the purchase and installation of restraining rail, contact rail and associated appurtenances. Installation is a combination of ballasted and direct fixation trackwork. Estimated cost range is $15,000,000 to $52,000,000; work is to be completed by November 16, 1999. DBE goal is 21% for bids of $500,000 or more. Bids open o/a 04/16/97.
