Specialist, (202) 927-0073 The purpose of this notice is to solicit
information as to the availability of potential sources that can
provide marine racing seats designed to protect the occupants of
vessels traveling in rough water conditions at high rates of speed (in
excess of sixty miles per hour). Seats are to be constructed of heavy
gauge aluminum/titanium/carbon fiber (frame) and have a high tenacity
polyester/nylon cover overall all waterproof padded areas. Seats shall
have hydraulic adjustments for lateral movement fore and aft, height
and raising and lowering of arm rests. Arm rests shall be equippped
with high impact handless (hand grips) to reduce body impact with the
seat during high "G Force" maneuvers of the vessel. Seats shall be
designed to allow as passive a ride as possible and reduce fatigue of
the seat occupants. Seats shall be bolster configuration with drop seat
panels, hip supports, waist and shoulder harnesses and headrests.
Aluminum fountation weldment plate with mounting flanges to secure
mounting is also required. All sources interested in providing this
requirement are encouraaged to submit detailed descriptive information
that clearly describes ability to provide the above item. Responses
will be accepted for evaluation purposes for 15 calendar days from the
date of this notice. Please identify in your response if you are a
large or small business concern. The Standard Industrial Classification
(SIC) Code for this acquisition is 2599. The small business size
