NASA's GSFC/WFF plans to issue a Request for Offers for the Repair of Mainland Primary Distribution Systems at NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center, Wallops Flight Facility, Wallops Island, Virginia 23337. The scope of work for this project shall include, but is not limited to: The upgrade and replacement of the Mainland primary electrical distribution system, including removal of 1,500 meters of overhead primary (12,470 volt) distribution circuits and replacement with underground service, replacement of 12 distribution transformers, and installation of associated ductbank, conduit, wiring, and replacement and switchgear along Radar Road in the U-Area. This procurement is being conducted under the NASA MidRange Pilot Test Program approved by the Office of Federal Procurement Policy. The order of magnitude for the procurement is between $500,000 and $1,000,000.00 and the effort shall be completed within 365 calendar days after notice to proceed. The Standard Industrial Classification Code for the procurement is 1731. The corresponding size standard is $7,000,000.00. The anticipated release date of the RFO is on or about 03-24-97 with an anticipated offer closing date of on or about 04-24-97. The firm date for receipt of offers will be stated in the RFO. Bid packages containing specifications and drawings will be available from the identified point of contact at a nonrefundable cost of $100.00. Payment must be made in the form of a company or certified check or money order, made payable to "NASA", which must accompany the request. No personal checks or cash will be accepted.
