610-595-0505, Margaret Gettings, Contracting Officer, 610-595-0505. The
Government intends to issue a competitive Request For Proposal (RFP)
for a new 100-Ton Overhead Electric Traveling crane for use at the
Naval Foundry in Philadelphia, PA. The crane shall be used for handling
hot metal. It shall be CMAA #70 Class F, run on 240 VDC, operate on
rail spacing of 75 feet 10 inches, be equipped with an auxiliary hoist
with a capacity of 25-tons, and be cab operated. A pre-proposal
conference will be held at the Naval Foundry in Philadelphia, PA, which
will include a site-visit, within 10 days after the issuance of the
RFP. This solicitation will be distributed on 3.5 inch disks with
Microsoft Word for Windows and Microsoft Excel. This solicitation is
restricted to Small Business. All applicable Buy American and Trade
Agreement Acts Clauses in FAR and DFAR will be utilized for this
procurement. Cost and technical proposals are being solicited. The
following evaluation factors will be considered for subject Request For
Proposal: 1. Price/Cost; 2. Technical, consisting of (a) Technical
Approach, (b) Management Plan and (c) Corporate Experience. The Award
shall be based on Best Value to the Government, Cost and other Factors
