Naval Research Laboratory (NRL),currently involved in research on
Traveling Wave Tubes (TWTs), Gyro-Devices, and Ubitrons, has a
requirement for on-site research support for the theory and analysis of
slow and fast wave electron beam device concepts for exploratory
development programs. The contractor shall use advanced theory to model
each type of device to ensure that on going research is keeping pace
with the state of the art. TWT research shall be required on both helix
and coupled cavity tube. Computer programs developed in the slow wave
program shall be subjected to a validation test suite to be developed
jointly by the contractor, representatives of the Microwave Tube
Industry, and NRL. The contractor shall provide theoretical support in
the development of broadband, fastwave devices, such as 94 Ghz
gyroamplifiers and ubitrons. It is anticipated that performance will be
for one year with two option years. Additional information will be
