The purpose of this presolicitation notice is to follow up on a previous sources sought synopsis (SSS) and advise all potential offerors of the draft RFP and a presolicitation conference. SSS-PKR-96-09 for the Aircrew Advanced Life Support Equipment Technology was advertised in the Tuesday, March 09, 1996, edition of the CBD and updated on 25 Nov 1996. In summary, this basic, exploratory, and advanced development research and research support effort, planned by the Crew Technology Division of the Crew Systems Directorate, Armstrong Laboratory (AL), Brooks Air Force Base, Texas, includes advances in acceleration and altitude protection, spatial disorientation prevention/countermeasures, workload and performance assessments and circadian disruption countermeasures. For more details please reference the SSS. The draft SOW for the basic contract and the first two delivery orders for this acquisition were released on 28 October 1996 to the San Antonio RFP and Acquisition Highway (SARAH) home page on theInternet and updates posted to SARAH on 28 Feb 1997. A site visit and presolicitation conference is currently planned for Wednesday, 26 March 1997.
